Hello again! Here’s a quick update on how we ended 2025 in the art room.

We continued art lessons on color, specially warm, cool and rainbow.

To review the order of the rainbow colors the kinders made a multimedia project of a drawing of ice cream scoops (6 scoops to be exact) with they painted each scoop a rainbow color and cut and pasted on their plaid drawings with oil pastel. I really appreciate their focus and patience.

We also enjoyed a few winter art projects, both involving bears: brown and polar! We kept things fun and light, slow and exploratory, especially during performance week. The kinders even got to splatter white paint for snow using tempera paint and an old toothbrush!

When we return from break the kinders will take home artwork that has collected in their art folders full of coloring sheets, free choice watercolor painting, and free form art.
