Black History Month

We have had much to discuss and create in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. message on peace in January, and then in February, in recognition of Black History month, highlighting incredible artists and people like Ruby Brigses, who have paved the way for peace and equality. We studied works by Alma Thomas and Jean-Michel Basquiat. We made crowns!

We learned about the Lunar New year and all the beautiful traditions and celebrations that take place during the 15 day long holiday.

We are so fortunate to be inspired by many cultures these winter months.
