We started back with Spanish a few weeks ago and got right into finishing their posters. I sure hope that they all brought them home and shared with you. I was very impressed with their pronunciation when we practiced reading them. The kids got really creative, and I hope they keep practicing all of this vocabulary. Here are some fun photos.

While we were finishing the posters, finally, the weather got dry enough to do what the students have been dieing to do since Día de los Muertos when I had the younger classes: Calaveras de azúcar - Sugar skulls. We talked about the tradition, who we would be remembering while making the skulls (they are always so sweet, thoughtful and respectful regarding this topic), and discussed everything else that comes up, as always. I hope they got home in one piece last week!

We also brainstormed what the kids want to do as we approach summer: make tortillas, baking and cooking desserts, learn more games, conversations and songs, field trips…..a long list for only a few more Fridays. We will see how far we get! As always, I’m open to thoughts and ideas. Muchas Gracias a todos.
