4th - 5th Music

We have started an exciting year in Music. We have had class meetings where each person with the talking stick shares. We have decided on our group name, made posters that are posted in the gym to remind us how to achieve our expectations, and we have given and received appreciations for one another for the close of our meetings.

We have reviewed rhythm structures and especially in the tongue twister, “Woodchuck”, which is in 4 parts. We have reviewed the pentatonic scale in solfeg (do, re, mi, sol, la)) and have begun to explore the melodic rhythm instruments using composed ostinatos (a phrase that repeats over and over).

An old favorite is coming back for the Halloween celebration! You’ll see!
