Art

This month, most second graders entered the SPCA Poster Contest. This years theme is “The Coldest Noses have the Warmest Hearts” . The kids that wanted to enter created beautiful portraits using tempera paints, collage techniques and oil pastels. These were mounted and hand delivered to the SPCA this past weekend!! Submitted Posters will be displayed during the Month of May at the SC main library and the Freedom Branch of the Watsonville Public Library.  Winners from each grade will be selected and will be recognized for their wonderful and inspiring artwork with a visit from the SPCA to present their award!

Here are a few entries ❤️❤️:

Our next project took a few classes to complete. Remember when I was in need of newspaper? Welp, we made large, stuffed Fish made out of (and stuffed with) newspaper. These fish were drawn, cut out, painted, decorated with sharpies, oil pastels and sequins, stuffed AND THEN will be hung and on display at the May Faire! We are so excited to see our collective ocean above the cubbies soon!!!
