The past few weeks we have sang songs about  body parts from Whistlefritz and read 2 books by Susan Middleton Elya. Then they glued poems and pictures from the songs and books into their own Libro de Poemas and illustrated them. The books were Little Roja Riding Hood and Rubia and the Three Osos. Both books are very fun and unique versions and have a great glossary of the words in Spanish.

We have also been warming up with Color Tag - trais de colores. Practicing the colors at home would be a good idea and easy vocabulary for the family. Last Friday we warmed up with a version of What does a rabbit do? Como va el conejo? by acting out how a rabbit comes close - Cerquita, cerquita, cerquita, goes very far -muy lejos, muy lejos,  then chose  different actions it does. We also played a game practicing wolf - lobo, grandma -abuela, chair - silla, bed - cama.

I think we will be sending the Libro de Poemas home in a few weeks so you will be able to see everything they have been working on and read them together.
