Circus/Drama January

The first day back from winter holiday, we introduced the stilts and unicycles. So, for this past month the kinders have had free choice circus activities for both Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Most students have been enthralled with the stilts, some climbing taller, esteem abound. A few students have given significant time to the unicycle. The unicycle requires much more effort and reps than the stilts. We may get a kinder unicycle success this year. Other interests are the spinning staff, juggling rings, balls, rola bola (balance board), and static trapeze. We will begin the process for our Circus shows scheduled for the end of March. This will entail the kinder’s choice of roles, creating characters, and rehearsals to get the routines into our muscle memory.
