drama/circus

In our once a week class, we have been getting our hands onto various apparatus to develop balance, focus, large motor and hand/eye coordination. Tossing, bouncing, catching balls, scarves, and rings. Balancing feathers on various parts of the body is both a focus and balance exercise with a high degree of success.

Mid-month we switched to two classes a week, teaming up with the 1st graders. This will continue through the rest of the school year. The switch facilitates the classes being together in rehearsals for the winter play. The K-2 graders will be presenting Nursery Rhymes (original and fractured), and the 3-6 graders will do ‘The Sign of the Seahorse’, and book/play written by Graeme Base. After the play Tuesdays will be drama based and Wednesdays Circus.
