First of all, I want to tell you all (again) how much I love working with your kids. Until we get to be together again, I’ll miss all we do in person.

This past month we have continued to focus on Spanish speaking countries and maps, with songs and videos. Mexico has been a recent focus. With it being such a large country, we still have so much we could cover. Last Friday Camila was so wonderful and introduced the story/song of “La Llorona.” Julie, Camila’s mom, had sent a lot of information on it and we watched a music video too. Then they wanted to play ‘musical chairs’ with the song. This same day, we also learned about the Mexican Legend, “The Miracle of Our Lady Guadalupe” - “ Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe”. They were so intrigued about the whole thought of legends and beliefs etc. What a wonderful day, again! Please ask them about it.

Before this, we also worked with the Spanish alphabet and pronunciation. They have papers in their folders in class. Oh well, they will get home eventually.
