Music

The Dolphins:   We ended last year doing the dance to a la Vibora and this year we will be adding drum circle to our class! We are currently learning all the degrees of the diatonic scale (do re mi fa sol la ti do) and how to sing them consecutively.  We will be using our Curwen hand symbols using songs like Do,  a Deer, which all students enjoy.  We continue to practice rhythm identification with the melodic and percussive instruments, and they will be performing their own rhythmic vignettes in small groups..  We also will begin learning our favorite pop song we chose from our list and we will also begin practicing songs from the Musical Valarie will be directing!  More on that later!
