Art/LEADERSHIP

Welcome to Art! It is very exciting to be back in the art room with the students. I am honored to be in the classroom with this class twice a week. We have Art on Tuesdays and Leadership on Thursdays.

ART

So far, in the two classes we’ve had together, we’ve acclimated to the space with an introduction to their art journals and materials and review the class guidelines. After all the logistics, which is their favorite part, we dove right into our first fundamental: LINE. Had a quick review and started working on their first project in their art journals.

LEADERSHIP

After we discussed the Community Spirit packets the students were introduced to their Leadership journals. These journals will be used to collect inspirational quotes, reflections, gratitude prompts and more. This class also has the opportunity to paint and decorate our second Owl Box. The students used the lessons on lines to collectively draw mandalas on the new owl home.
