Español

A brief blog follows, but we had a lot of fun and practiced a lot of Spanish!

Practiced Soy un Arbol (poem)

Collected hojas (leaves) . Wrote hoja in the sand and filled it in with hogs….It looked super cool close up (hard to see, but I wanted to get the kids in the photo)

Cut out poem, put it on leaves, acted it out and took a video in Spanish and English (I will have to try to send it another way because the file is too big for the blog).

Treat: Dulce de chocolate

Played a game outside to practice vocabulary: Soy un/una…...nino/a (animal)

Tengo……(I have….)

Learned: hola, como estas...excelente/(muy) bien/asi asi/ (muy mal) horrible

They created their own papers and faces...told me what phrases they wanted me what to write on the Jenga blocks.

Hablo Español….talked about being bilingual etc.

Treat: Galleta Salada

Halloween Poem and paper. Acted it out.

Calaveras de Azucar with vocabulary, history, discussions. Last Friday we decorated them and I hope they got home in one piece! Also, if anyone was absent, and you would like to make your own sugar skulls, please reach out to me, and I will lend you the molds and give you the instructions.

I’ll try to take more photos next session. Until then, enjoy these pictures and keep practicing :)
