Science

Measurement Continued

Student lab teams explored the triple beam balance and measured the mass of a variety of objects.

Plant Parts

As we continue to explore plant parts, the class is growing bean seeds in a jar and observing each stage of germination, growing flowers with and without roots, and dissecting flowers. Up next we are exploring falling leaves and why they change colors in the fall.

Students have also been learning about seed dispersal, and a big highlight was walking around campus with old socks on our feet to collect seeds, then planting them to see what grows. Next time you are on campus, ask your child to bring you by the science tent and show you their sock box.

A Little Holiday Fun

The class made zucchini bites for the harvest festival. For Halloween, we explored catapults and tested them by chuckin’ candy pumpkins.
