Circus/Drama

We have begun the year with reviews of some basic dramatic principles: focus and focus changes, isolations, point, belief, click, impulse, and separation of movement. Each class starts out with some physical warm-ups and challenges, then the class moves into the day’s curriculum. So far this year, we have been weighing our classes mostly in the circus element because of the tremendous enthusiasm and desire for that.

By in large, each student enjoys and thrives in circus class. There is so much to learn, and some students undertake everything. Some grab onto one apparatus and focuses all their attention there. Unicycles and stilts are the big hits. Again this year, focus will be given to the hand apparatuses, especially juggling balls.
