Music

The Pancakes are a combination of the Kindergarten and 1st grade classes for Music.  They have explored songs, dances, body percussion, percussion, stories that they have danced to and now are preparing an Island sounding piece called, “Listen to the Water” by Theresa Jennings.  They hope to surprise you with their improvisation of the ‘characters’ that inhabit the waterside!  Some Pancakes will be singing and accompanying on percussion instruments.  The Pancakes will also do a playground favorite song, “Miss Mary Mac” with a surprising hand partner percussion game! 

  (The song is in 4 / 4 time and the hand clapping is in 3 / 4 time!) The Pancakes do this with ease!  Matt has been accompanying us on Guitar, playing and singing with us as well!
