The Hyper Turtles: We continue to practice beat and rhythm using iconic notation and body percussion.  We have started to explore stick notation and are discussing dynamics, (loud and soft) and tempo (fast and slow), while still creating our own movements to known songs. We have worked on sol, mi & la songs, and songs to practice ta & titi, like Blue Bird.  We have been exploring the melodic percussion instruments using mallets and an Ostinato we have composed together from songs we are singing.  We will brainstorm our favorite rock and pop songs, choose 3 out of the list and sing and play them on the instruments.

Also, we will learn a lively folk dance from Eastern Europe (and using Russian words), called Sasha!
