In October, with the help of Mr. Bones, the first-grade class learned a lot about bones! We explored bones, played “Name the Bone” on the skeleton, measured our own bones, told jokes about bones, read about bones, and of course danced and sang about bones for our Halloween Skit!
Students learned about pumpkins and the pumpkin life cycle. Students are co-authoring and illustrating a class book based on a variety of squashes titled, Squashie and Her Friends!
Students also enjoyed Halloween themed read-a-louds and listening to books on tape.
Students recited Pumpkin Poetry and made beautiful Pumpkin Art! Enjoy:-)
