We have been having fun learning new rhymes and poems to put in their last book of the year. We continue to warm up outside after circle with some game that uses either review or new vocabulary. Then when we learn the new rhyme or poem, we use some hand movements or physical activity to go along with it. They really enjoyed using the jump ropes with a skipping song, and were either proud of their jumping abilities or  happy to be working together to help each other. Like before, they paste their poems in their book and illustrate them. The kids will bring the books home in a few weeks.

We also did an ‘I see, I see’ “Veo, veo” search around the campus. It was so fun to see the kids working with clipboards and their papers outside. We used tally marks and practiced saying the words of the items they saw the whole morning. They had a great time. The next Friday we practiced the same vocabulary with a tag game outside.
