March

Hi friends, here is a quick review on some of the exciting things we did in class this past month. Thank you for taking the time to read these blog posts. Sorry for the delay this time around!

Socisl Studies

The kids did a great job putting together their Explorer Posters. From research to highlighting, decorating their explorers with fabric and yarn to creating a timeline to arranging their posters to present in front of the class, they all did a fantastic job.
Our world map is almost complete! The students will soon be able to label and paint areas as we “travel around the world” in class.

Leadership

Our class created and organized our schools Spirit Week this month! They came up with the days, arranged the week, wrote a class proposal to Manila, created flyers to take home and posters for campus, then when the week was upon us, enjoyed participating! The kids made cool art pieces on crazy hair day and got to tie dye with Erica on Tie Dye day!
We also dedicated a few classes on Women’s History month, highlighting women we admire in our families and community as well as strong and intelligent women from around the world making a difference for the greater good.

Language Arts

We are halfway through reading Holes by Louis Sachar as a class. Lots of writing activities, vocabulary words and good ol reading has been enjoyed thus far.

Math

Multiplication and more multiplication with a little intro on division this month!!
