It has been fun to be back with this class again. We have only met 3 times, but I can’t believe how much Spanish they remember and how happy they are to share all they know. There is a definite sense of excitement for being bilingual and recalling so much.

We first brainstormed what they want to do for this 8 week session. Then we played “repollo” (cabbage). This is where I first saw how proud they are of knowing so much. The next week I handed out 2 conversation sheets, they practiced, wrote the phrases they wanted to on Jenga blocks, and then we played and practiced what was on the block they picked out. Lastly we played the traditional Lotería. They love this game and after break I will send home a sheet with each of them to learn specific words.
