Art
Welcome back to school! It's so great to be back with the kids in the art room.
We took our time reviewing the guidelines, privileges and boundries of the classroom as well as created a list of mediums the kids would like to explore this year. A few requests are: carving, printing, working with acrylics, portraits and drawing outside.
Last week the kids constructed their very own ART journals using different types of paper, including graph, lined and construction paper. They decorated the covers with their own design or with images of "what inspired them". These journals will be used through out the school year for free drawing and to take notes.
We began our discussion reviewing the importance of the Line, along with patterns, shapes and value. Next week we will talk about the art of Nate Valnsky and Kris Davidson as we will dive deeper into Value using hatching and cross hatching.

This week is prop creation time for the Haunted Willows!! I’m not exactly sure what the kids need done, but I heard it’s going to be a scary time. Be prepared to be spooked next Friday. 🎃👾👽
