Art/leadership

October was packed! We had a great time preparing for two of our biggest events we have in the school year, our harvest festival and Halloween party. During our class time on Harvest festival day, we helped bring down tables and chairs, and help set up for our feast. We also celebrated Dia de Los Muertos by making Calavera masks to parade down to Ofrenda together.

The students enjoyed a review on color. Warm colors, cool colors, the color wheel, primary and secondary. They enjoyed free drawing prompts creating with only primary colors and just secondary colors in their art journals.

In Leadership class we continue to reflect on a daily quotes like:

“To the world you may be just one person, but to one person you may be the world. “ - Dr. Seuss

We also practice gratitude and write what we’re thankful for.
