Alliteration

Alliteration happens when words that start with the same sound (not just the same letter) are used repeatedly in a phrase or sentence. Alliterations become tongue twisters😊

Create alliterations using letters and blends

Brainstorm words and make a list that begin with a letter and /or a blend.

For example the letter d and the blend dr.

Words that begin with a letter d: dance, dive, dart, daylight, dingo, dark, daring

Words that begin with the blend dr: drab, dragon, drip, dropping, drink, driftwood.

Make up an alliteration using as many words as you can….

Example:  Dark eared dingos dive and dart daringly in the daylight

Example:  Drab dragons dream of drinks drip dropping off driftwood
