January has been filled with folders, games and field games. I gave them all bookmarks with a lot of vocabulary on them and we used these to play some vocabulary games and decorate their folders which will go home at the end of the year after I have them for another 8 weeks. We also started playing field games, incorporating Spanish into them. Here are the vocabulary lists so that they can continue to practice the words. Fire in the Forest - Fuego en el Bosque has been their favorite. This past Friday they drew and labeled a “creature - creatura” to practice the vocabulary they use in the game. It has been so fun to watch their great sense of maturity in how they are navigating the field games and putting effort into the Spanish :)

Dice Game Vocabulary:

Tengo hambre - I am hungry (I have hunger)

Tengo sed - I am thirsty (I have thirst)

Tengo miedo - I am scared (I have fear)

Tengo sueño - I am sleepy (I have ‘sleepiness’) ;)

Tiene - you, he or she has….. (anything in general)....we watched a video with this phrase
