Owl Pellet Dissection

The class explored what owls eat, and then spit back out, by dissecting owl pellets. Students used a guide sheet to help them identify each bone that they discovered.

Seed Dispersal

Students explored some of the adaptations that seeds have that help them move around. After walking around campus with an old sock on their feet (to collect seeds), students buried the sock to see what might grow.
